INNISBROOK ORDERS ARRIVING MONDAY
Thank you to everyone who participated in MIT’s Fall Fundraiser. Orders will be arriving by truck on Monday and each child’s order will be delivered to their classroom before the end of the day. Middle School orders will be waiting in the cafeteria at the end of the day. If your child has an especially large order, please do not send them home on the bus. Please check your orders for accuracy when you receive them. Again, thank you all - we raised $17,000 for our school! Together we made a difference!
BEAR SCARE A SUCCESS!
Many thanks to chairwoman Felicia Seubert and the many parents who helped with the Bear Scare this year. We had a huge turnout and families were having a great time. It took many hands to put this together and the result was a wonderful, fun family night at Madrona!
CHALLENGE TESTING PROCEDURES
Do you think your student is a candidate for the Challenge Program? If so, you may sign them up for Challenge Testing. The testing will take place on December 1, 2007 and January 19,2008 at Terrace Park K-8 school. Testing forms must be in the Challenge Office on November 18th for the December testing and January 15 for the January 19th testing. Application forms are available in the main office at Madrona. If you have questions you can contact Nancy Gilbertson at 425-431-7157.
PICTURE RETAKES NEXT TUESDAY!
Were you sick on picture day? Or were you smiling with your eyes closed? Was your hair parted on the wrong side? If you did not get your picture taken or are not happy with the pictures you received, bring them with you on Tuesday and get your picture taken again.
TRICK OR TREAT FOR UNICEF
UNICEF is about kids helping kids. You can make a difference in someone else’s life just by collecting pennies. The money raised through UNICEF provides immunizations, education, health care, nutrition, clean water and sanitation for children in 156 countries.
The kids at Madrona were so successful last year collecting coins for UNICEF while Trick or Treating that we’re doing in again! We’ve decided to increase our school goal to $500 so we hope you will choose to participate and help children around the globe.
Pick up a UNICEF box in the office if you didn’t get one in your mailbox. All you have to do is collect coins when you go out Trick or Treating. AFTER October 31, BRING YOUR UNICEF BOX TO THE MAIN OFFICE so the money you collected will go to UNICEF. UNICEF BOXES will be collected until November 13th.
If you have any questions email Deborah Binder (Jai’s mom) at jazzyoga@earthlink.net. To learn more about Trick or Treat for UNICEF go to www.unicefusa.org/trickortreat.
