BEAR SCARE HELP NEEDED!
Thank you to all the parents who have contacted me and have offered to help! I still need a few more willing folks for: set up, decoration, and clean up. I also need parents who can volunteer at an activity for a half hour time slot. The more the “bearrier”! ENRICHMENT CLASSES
Enrichment classes are filling up fast. As of last Friday, Art Daze and Indoor School wre filled at maximum enrollment. There is still enrollment available for Etiquette, Study Club, Rock and Blues Guitar and Peer Mediation.
Art for Kids brochures have also been sent home. Look for separate flyers in your Wednesday mail for Mad Science and Explorer’s Language.
Some parents have expressed confusion about the fees and felt the enrollment form was not clear. The enrollment form is two sided and the fee structure was listed on the back side. For clarification, the fees are as follows: $10.00 registration fee PER CLASS made payable to MIT and attached to the enrollment form Supply fees listed were to be paid directly to the instructor on the 1st day of class.
Please remember that enrichment forms are to be dropped off in the family room, not in classroom boxes. We have a NEW Enrichment lock box in the family room for just that purpose.
MAD SCIENCE ENRICHMENT CLASSES
Mad Science is coming to Madrona. A Science Enrichment class will begin on Wednesday, October 31st after school and run for 6 weeks, every Wednesday. Class is open to grades K - 3. Look for flyers to go home next week! The cost is $69 per student. Registration and Fee payable directly to Mad Science. Need a minimum of 15 students to register.
INNISBROOK ORDERS DUE NOW!!
Please return your Fundraiser orders! Orders were due yesterday and we need them returned NOW. Orders and prizes should arrive in early November in plenty of time for the holidays. Thank you for your support of Madrona and MIT. Together we can reach our goal of $40,000 in sales. Thank you also to all the students who reached the 15 item mark. We hope you enjoy your Dudes.
MENTOR READING BUDDIES
Do you have friends or family members who would like to be a Madrona Mentors Reading Buddy? We love grandparent volunteers! Volunteers are matched up with a primary grade student for oral reading practice 30 minutes once per week. Training is available.
