SUPPORT STAFF APPRECIATION THIS WEEK
Support Staff Appreciation week is going on now!! Madrona has about 30 support staff members; they include our front office staff, Custodians, School Cook, Education Assistants (EA's) and DHH interpreters. Your teachers and coordinators will have all the details. We encourage all families to participate in appreciating our support staff! The support staff “favorites” book is in the family room.
THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR- MARCH 24TH TO 28TH IN MADRONA’S LIBRARY
Madrona’s Scholastic Book Fair is on its way to our library! Please come to Family Night, Tuesday March 25th from 5-8 pm or stop by during the week in the morning from 8:30-9:30, at lunch from 11-1:30 or after school from 3:30-4:30 pm. We still need volunteers for this fun event - even an hour of your time is helpful. MUTUAL UNDERSTANING AND COMPASSIONATE COMMUNICATION BOOK STUDY GROUP

SEUSSICAL TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Tickets to see MCT's Seussical at the Mountlake Terrace High School Theater on March 20th, 21st, 22nd are on sale outside of the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:50 to 9:20 AM and Thursday afternoons. Get your tickets early! The play will be ASL interpreted on March 21st and at the 12:00 pm performance on March 22nd.
SCRIP NEWS
Remember the support staff at Madrona by giving them a Scrip gift card to one of their favorite places! The support staff does so much at Madrona - let's appreciate them in a special way! Stop by the Scrip table in the morning outside the office and look through the "favorites" book for ideas. The scrip table will be open everyday this week for your convenience. Thank you!

SEUSSICAL RAFFLE PREVIEW
One of two “Cat in the Hat Goes to Town” gift baskets, each valued at over $400, is on display in front of the Office. It includes a night at the Westin Hotel, 2 tickets to ACT or Seattle Rep and much much more. Raffle tickets for the basket can be purchased each day up to Opening Night, Thursday, March 20th. Price: $5 per ticket or 3 for $10. You do not have to be at the play to win. Winning tickets for 2 baskets will be drawn at the 5:30 performance on Saturday, March 22nd.
BUY ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS FOR NEW KINDERGARTEN PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
Due to a change in safety regulations, we need to purchase new playground equipment for the play area between buildings 2 and 3. PLANNING VACATION – LET KELLY KNOW!
Please remember when planning a vacation that you submit a letter 2 weeks in advance for approval for an excused absence. This gives the teachers an opportunity to send homework and missed assignments. If it’s not approved it gives you time to make changes.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES
This a call to all parents/educators interested in facilitating an enrichment class after spring break. Madrona Children’s Theater presents Seussical Candy-Grams. This is a great way for students and parents to wish each other luck or to give just for fun!
Drop off your order form in the Seussical box located outside the office or in person between 8:50 & 9:30am Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from March 11th through the 18th. You can place your order in the box up until the 19th. All grams must be paid for at the time of order. The $1.00 candy bars will be delivered to your student/actor March 20th. Please check your child’s mail for an order form or pick one up outside the office or in the family room.
LOST AND FOUND
Please come check our Lost and Found in the Cafeteria. It’s overflowing and we will be donating unclaimed clothes soon! We will give you time to make sure you don’t have anything there but we are running out to room!
