MIT's JUNE MEETING

Join us on Thursday, June 7th when Dr. Nick Brossoit, our superintendent, will visit Madrona to meet with parents from 7 until 9 pm in the library. He will talk about what is happening in the school district and will answer questions from parents and staff. The monthly MIT business meeting will take place that day from 6pm to 7pm. The new MIT board members will be introduced as well as our new Volunteer Program Manager and next year's budget will be voted on. Childcare will be available for a donation for both meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend.

MIT's DESSERT SOCIAL AT ARTWALK

Madrona's Artwalk is next week, May 31st, from 6:30 until 8:00 pm. MIT will hold a dessert social in the cafeteria that night. Bring the kids and drop by to enjoy an Italian soda and treats on us!!

ATTENTION THIRD YEAR PARENTS

Your student should be bringing home a flier with information about our annual Parent Information Meeting about how to help your student make the transition from primary to intermediate. The meeting will be Tuesday, May 29th between 7 and 8 pm in the Madrona library. Lynda and several teachers will share information about what you can expect in the intermediate years and how to help your child make the transition.

DON'T FORGET!!!!!!

There IS school this Friday, May 25th. This is a make-up day for a previous snow day. There is no school on Memorial Day, May 28th.

SCRIP NEWS

Buy scrip for all of your spring gardening and home improvement projects! We carry Sky Nursery, Home Depot, Lowe's Hardware, Fred Meyer and many grocery stores! Plan to use scrip for your summer vacation. We have many hotels, gas and restaurants available in different denominations. This is a great way to make money for the school during the summer months! COOKIE DOUGH/FROZEN ITEMS

We have a few items still available for sale - pizza, pretzels, funnel cakes and more. Contact Shana Lipscomb and help support next year's camp.

Also, we still have dishes in the family room from our fiesta lunch that need to go home with their owners. Please claim yours!

CARNIVAL THANK YOU

A huge than you to all the parents (and there were many) who helped with last week's carnival. Even in the rain it was a big success! It looked like everyone was well fed and having fun. Thank you especially to Christine Weed who did an amazing job of chairing this big event.
