MIT MEETING AND VOLUNTEER FAIR!
Please join us for the first M.I.T. meeting of the year on Weds., Sept. 24th at 7:00 in the library, immediately following the Volunteer Fair which starts at 5:45. Volunteers are required to have picture ID and can have photo badges made for $5 during this time. Information about volunteerism is also available. If you need a DSL interpreter or childcare for the meeting, please let me know at empathic_negotiation@hotmail.com. We ask that you make a donation to the middle school students for childcare.

WAMU SCHOOL SAVINGS PROGRAM INFO!
The WAMU School Savings Program is getting started for the year. Banking days are switching to MONDAYS this year, from 9:00 - 9:30 AM in the cafeteria. The first banking day will be next Monday, 9/15. Introductory packets are going home with all Kindergarteners this week; anyone else who needs a packet can pick one up in the Family Room. WAMU will mail quarterly statements to the student's home address and you can also earn prizes! For questions please contact Susan Christian at christian7007@hotmail.com or 425-744-1551.
FALL SOCCER CLINIC
Edmonds Woodway High School Girls Soccer wants you!
When: Friday, September 19th 9:30am-3:00pm
Where: Edmonds Stadium (&EWHS Gym)
Who can attend? Boys and Girls Age kindergarten to 5th Grade Cost $ 35.00
What we will be doing… Improving soccer skills, crafts, games and much more!
Each participant will receive a soccer clinic t-shirt and admittance to one varsity soccer game on Tuesday Sept. 23rd! You will need to bring a sack lunch, we will provide a snack! Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Parents can come and stay or drop in at anytime, at 2:30 we will be having scrimmage for all parents, so bring your video cameras. FUN MATH FAMILY NIGHT!
Thursday, Oct. 2nd 2008- 6:30 - 8:00 – Meet in the gym
Please join the Madrona community for a FUN family math night! We will creatively explore a GIANT problem and think about math in different ways. Students, please attend with a parent or guardian and plan to be there the entire time so we can complete the entire activity together. We hope you can join us for this new Madrona tradition! Look for the parent volunteer form if you would like to help out with this event.
MONTHLY COFFEE CONVERSATION WITH LYNDA AND CRAIG
Beginning September 24th, Lynda and Craig will once again host an informal coffee hour for parents to chat about school life. No agenda or presentations, just informal conversation. We will have the first one on Wednesday the 24th from 9:15 – 10:00 AM in the library. We’ll have coffee and some treats and make ourselves available to talk about whatever is on your mind. Mark your calendar if you’d like to chat! The dates are either a Wed. or a Friday – and we will meet 9:15 – 10:00 in the library.
