Bear Scare Planning Meeting – Sept. 28

It’s barely six weeks to Halloween, so you know what that means. It’s time to start planning for this year’s Bear Scare!

The biggest event of the year at Madrona, Bear Scare includes costumes, games, cookie decorating, a cupcake walk, temporary tattoo station, pumpkin-carving contest, scavenger hunt, candy crafts, a haunted house, photo opportunities, pizza and more! And best of all, 100 percent of the proceeds go to MIT, which puts them right back into programs for our students.

Last year saw a record attendance, and we want this year to be even better!

Whether you’re a new Madrona parent hoping to learn more, or a veteran with great ideas, please join us in the library on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 4 p.m. for the annual Bear Scare Planning Meeting. We’ll introduce (and, if necessary, elect) activity chairs, register volunteers and share any and all ideas for making this year’s Bear Scare the best one yet!

Can’t make the meeting? No problem. Send your questions or ideas to, and we’ll make sure your thoughts are included!
