This week we kick off our annual fundraiser, Madrona Kids’ Fund, a campaign to support the work of Madrona Integrated Team (MIT). We won’t ask you to sell anything, just pledge to support our Madrona Community.
MIT works with an annual budget of $52,000 to support our students and teachers. They provide funding for classroom support materials, student scholarships, student activity sponsorship, volunteer management and support, music program support and so much more. And all of this is made possible by each of you.
To learn more, please watch this short video from our MIT Parent Chair, Sean Robinson.
MIT’s operating budget for the 2017-18 school year is $52,000. Of the total amount, $40,000 or 77% of that will come from donations through Madrona Kids’ Fund. We are asking each Madrona family to give what they can.
If each family donates $100 or $10 a month for 10 months, we can reach our goal. And if you can give $20 a month, we can exceed our goal, allowing MIT to do more for the Madrona community.
There are many ways to give: a one-time donation, a monthly donation of $10 a month, corporate matching and others. This may sound like a lot and if it is more than you can give, that’s ok. Any donation is appreciated. Please give in any way you can.
Madrona is a community, and so this year we will focus on our fundraising goals as a community instead of individual classrooms. To that end, once we hit the $30,000 mark, our Assistant Principal, Jesse Goodsky has agreed to come to school in and wear a BEAR COSTUME all day. And if we reach our goal of $40,000, MIT will host a family pizza and movie night!
And as an added incentive, when you donate, your name will be entered into a drawing for that week to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card!
