BEAR SCARE IS BACK!!

flyerBear Scare is back! Madrona’s favorite annual event is returning IN-PERSON for the first time since 2019! Bear Scare will be haunting the halls once again on Friday, Oct. 28, from 6-8 p.m.

Bear Scare is Madrona’s annual Halloween-themed extravaganza, featuring games, costumes, food, music, decorations, prizes, a costume contest, a pumpkin-carving contest, a cake walk, candy crafts, cookie decorating, tattoos — even a haunted house! With over 1,000 attendees and 100 volunteers, it’s definitely Madrona’s biggest event of the year — and, its most fun, too!

With three years gone since the last in-person Bear Scare, there’s lots to plan, and key volunteer positions that need to be filled. Learn more about Bear Scare and how you can help make this event a success by joining us on Monday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. on Zoom for the annual Bear Scare Planning Meeting. Meet the committee behind this exciting event, learn what’s in store for 2022, and sign up to contribute to the fun in whatever way you can! The Zoom link is on the Parent Calendar; interested parents can also email madronabearscare@gmail.com to receive the link directly in your email.

While our hard-working Bear Scare committee worked wonders the last two years to pull off drive-through and virtual events, there’s NOTHING like an in-person Bear Scare to feel the power of the Madrona community. We are so excited to have Bear Scare back this year — we can’t wait to see you there!
