Madrona Integrated Team is excited to offer students opportunities beyond the regular school curriculum. Classes may be led by outside instructors, teachers, parents, or even students, and are designed to provide unique and enriching experiences.

Artwise: ART EXPLORATION (Grades 1-6): This session we’ll be experimenting with a variety of new techniques with paint, collage, oil pastels, watercolor, and more. Students learn a variety of painting and drawing techniques to expand their knowledge at any level. Come join us if you are interested in experimenting with various mediums and having fun doing it. ASL Beginning Class (Grades K-8): Learn ASL, Deaf Culture, and fun games with a Deaf instructor! ASL Continue Learning (Grades K-8): Ready to take your ASL skills further? Build your vocabulary, learn new signs, and practice real conversations through fun, interactive activities. Cheer (Grades K-8): Get ready to jump, cheer, and SHINE! Our after-school cheer class is a high-energy, supportive program where students build confidence, make new friends, and challenge themselves in a fun and encouraging environment. Cheer is more than just movement—it helps kids grow strong, boost self-esteem, learn teamwork, and feel proud of what their bodies can do. Whether your child is brand new to cheer or already loves performing, this class is designed for all skill levels. Students will learn: • Jumps, kicks, and stretches • Cheer motions and classic cheers • Sideline chants • A fun, age-appropriate dance routine Every cheerleader who registers receives a practice T-shirt, cheer bow, and keychain to kick off the season feeling like part of the team! Chess Wizards (Grades K-8): New to Madrona! Enter into the magical and exciting world of chess with Chess Wizards! You will participate in epic chess games, fun and interactive lessons, tournaments, team matches, trivia, and more! Our specialized classes are a blast for everyone from first through eighth grade. Whether you have been playing chess for your entire life and want to improve, are brand new to the game, or you just want to have a fun experience with your friends, Chess Wizards is the place for you! Karate-X (Grades K-5): New to Madrona! Join Karate-X for awesome classes that are disciplined, challenging, and fun! Students will learn
and practice Karate skills by punching bags, breaking boards, blocking drills, kicking targets, and
more! Karate-X has been teaching in the Puget Sound for over 25 years, with a martial arts
program specifically designed for elementary students. Our professional instructors know how
to motivate kids while building self-confidence and discipline. Belt rank testing is held at the
end of each session, giving students karate goals to aim for and recognition of their

Math Tycoon; Theme Park (Grades 2-5): New to Madrona! Build a new theme park every class using math and entrepreneurship skills—water parks, space parks, safari adventures, and more! Solve challenges to attract guests, build rides, and grow your park. Whether you’re looking to brush up on math skills or jump ahead with an extra challenge, each activity is adjusted to your level so you can learn at the right pace without getting stuck. Snapology: Movie Favorites (LEGO) (Grades K-2): Bring favorite animated movie characters to LEGO® life! Students will build, create, and take on fun challenges inspired by The Lion King™, Trolls™, How to Train Your Dragon™, Encanto™, and more. Snapology: Real World Robotics & Coding (Grades 3-6): Build, code, and discover how robots help people in the real world! Students will explore the basics of robotics while building amazing devices with LEGO®. Students will develop programming, building, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills while discovering that coding and robotics can be both challenging and rewarding! World Building with Clay; The Great Outdoors (K-2): New to Madrona! This session, sculptors will work their way through the great outdoors—hatchlings in Nature’s Nursery, gooey s’mores in Campfire Crew, a postman snail in Garden Party! Every creation teaches a real art skill—joinery, proportion, texture—and teachers tailor each challenge, from rolling a perfect sphere to balancing a dinosaur on one leg.
