Updates from the Edmonds Foundation

A Recipe for Success! Annual Breakfast and Lunch is the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. We rely on this event to fuel our programs that enhance students’ educations and wellbeing. Please take a moment to enjoy our videos and stories, and then support our work with a gift.

Surplus Laptop Program

Our Surplus Laptop program is currently accepting applications from students K-6th who qualify for free or reduced lunch OR whose families make less than the specified income found on our application chart. Applications are due April 3rd. Parents can print an application from our website and either turn it into office staff for intra office mailing or send it directly to Rebeca Cadena at the Foundation. Names will be selected through a raffle and winners will be contacted shortly after the due date. Please look over our applications to familiarize yourself with further instructions. Thank you for helping your students to become aware of this amazing opportunity for a free laptop!

For any questions concerning Grant applications, Scholarship applications, or Surplus Laptop applications please reach out to Rebeca Cadena 425-431-7084 rebeca@foundationesd.org.

STEM Expo

The Edmonds School District STEM Expo is also right around the corner taking place on April 27th from 6 – 8 pm at Mountlake Terrace High School. There are three ways in which students grades 4-12 can participate:

  1. Interactive STEM Stations: Students host an interactive station that showcases a STEM topic that they wish to share with the community.
  2. Competitors’ Showcase: Exhibits projects by students who have taken part in judged competitions outside of the school district.
  3. The Lynnwood Mayor’s Challenge: This is an opportunity to team up with the City of Lynnwood to explore and propose STEM solutions to authentic issues facing the community.

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to engage your students in STEM related fun and learning!
