What you need for Shrek Jr. Auditions next week:
Leads & Features – Tues. 12/12/23, 4:00pm-6:00pm
Chorus/Ensemble – Wed. 12/13/23, 4:00pm-6:00pm
Callbacks – Thurs. 12/14/23, 4:00pm-6:00pm
Your student needs to choose only one day of auditions based on the size of role they are auditioning for.
Students that are called that day will meet in the commons area to check-in immediately following the end of school.
1. Fill out the Online Audition Form by 12/11/23 indicating what size role your student will audition for:

Bring: Your payment form (and payment if check) and a recent school photo
Act: Tell a short story, a joke, or something funny that happened to you (approx 30 seconds)
Sing: Prepare to sing roughly 30 seconds of a song with backing music. Options for song choices include:
Option 1 (recommended): Sing one of the prepared sections of “I’m a Believer” from Shrek Jr.
Selections will be posted online asap and notifications will be sent
Backing music will be provided at auditions
Option 2: Student chooses a song and provides own backing music (digital)
Karaoke track (preferred)
Play the song from a streaming music service (such as Spotify) is allowed as long as the student can be heard over the recorded singer
A bluetooth enabled speaker will be provided for student use and some technical assistance will be available if they get stuck
Dance: Students will be taught some basic movement & choreography and dance in small groups
4. Fill out the Parent/Student Contract form and MCT Payment Plan Agreement Form that can be found in the MCT Parent information form packet.
